Our client is looking for a proactive infrastructure Engineer with recent hands-on knowledge and experience of providing network support and engineering. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a close-knit team. Although based in Lincolnshire, the role will involve periodic visits to customer sites around the UK.

 

As their Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and evolution of ongoing IT infrastructure as well as customer installations.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

 

  • 3rd Line infrastructure support and project delivery experience (2 years minimum)
  • Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Windows Server 2012R2 + Administration
  • Active Directory Administration with Azure AD integration
  • Cisco Switching and Routing
  • Veeam Backup and Replication
  • HP/Dell Server Hardware
  • Data Storage Technologies (SAN/NAS)
  • Network and Information Security Protocols (IPSEC/SSL/Kerberos)
  • IaaS, PaaS Services (Azure)

 

While not essential, any qualifications in these areas would be considered advantageous

 

Essential

 

The successful applicant must be eligible for National Security Vetting i.e. British Citizen or a minimum of at least 5 years UK residency.
